So someone just told me this riddle at school and idk the answer please help me, here is the riddle

You borrow $50 from mom and $50 from dad. You buy a shirt for $97 and get back $3 in change. You give $1 back to mom and $1 back to dad. You keep $1 for yourself.

Now you owe each of your parents $49.

$49+$49=$98 You still have $1. $98+$1=$99.

What happened to the other dollar?

Idk the answer PLEASE HALPPP I must knowwww!!!!

I'll take a go at it lol.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
you have 0$
but each of your parents have 50$ meaning the two of them have 100$
you borrow 100$ your parents now have 0$
you buy a shirt at a shop for 97$ you now have 3$
you give back 2$ to your parents you now have 1$
the money doesn't
go anywhere, you just have to know what and what not to look at.
In the end you have 1$ your parents have 2$ and the shop has 97$ so 1+2+97=100.
